Fan Dance - with Sheena Miss Demeanour

This workshop will teach you the seductive art of fan dancing. Fans are one of the most classic and favourite burlesque props used by Burlesque starlets, where it's all about covering and revealing and using the fan as an extension of your arm. The class foundations are in jazz ballet so you'll learn to accentuate the lines of the body in a flattering way whilst using the fans. Figure eights, teasing and kaliedoscopic shapes will all be explored in this workshop. Large Chinese silk fans will be used for the majority of the workshop and then we will incorporate ostrich feather fans but the same basic principles apply when using either. The workshop will finish with a routine that will keep you cool all summer long
