- Rate per workshop is $25 or $60 for 3 workshops booked and paid at the same time.
- Space is limited to 12 children for studio 2 and 25 children for Studio 1.
WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
AFRO LATIN FUNK
A Funk class with a zest of African and Afro-Latin/Afro-Caribbean flavour. Be prepared to shake those hips and learn the moves that are high energy and focus on isolating the body.
BEATBOXING
Beatboxing is a form of vocal percussion which aims to imitate drum beats, rhythm, and musical sounds using one's mouth, lips, tongue, voice, and more. A fun workshop that compliments those hip-hop dancers beautifully!!
BOLLYWOOD
An energetic class that will have you swaying to the latest Bollywood movie tunes with kitsch themes and boppy moves. In this class you will learn the moves inspired from the Bollywood movies and the Indian culture. It is a unique blend of Classical Indian dance, Funk and primarily Bhangra (from the Punjab region of India).
BREAKDANCE + POP n LOCK
From top rockin and drops, to floor rocks and freezes!! Learn the essentials to becoming a B-Boy or B-Girl. You will also learn the basics of Popping and Locking, consisting in sharp movements with an element of groove. A Fun and easy workshop where you can learn funky dance moves.
BROADWAY JAZZ
Broadway Jazz is a high energy, technique driven style that is sure to get you working your spirit fingers. This workshop will cover some of the classic moves seen in broadway musicals such as Chicago, Fame, West Side Story, Mamma Mia and Oliver.
FUNKY STREET DANCE
This style will combine a little bit of everything to get you moving. House Dancing is a street dance style known for its fancy footwork, groove, turns and grace. This will lead into some signature moves like the moon walk and other fun steps to show off to your friends.
HIP HOP
Learn some of the smoothest hip hop moves that will get you moving like Justin Timberlake, Ciara, Beyonce and your favourite stars from “So You Think You Can Dance”. This is a street dance that will have you starring in your favourite video clip in no time!!.
HIP HOP/FUNK
Pania fuses together Urban Hip Hop, Jazz, Funk and RnB, to create her own individual style that we love so much! It is full of street smart choreography that will be incorporated into an energetic FRESH routine.
HULA HOOP
The aim of this class is to create a space for those new to the hoopla to come together and share in the joy of learning with a high-energy workout and wide range of moves and tricks to explore and take home with you. The class will include warm-up, conditioning, stance, saves, turns, skills and drills for on and off the body, multiple hoops, hoop dance, reversals and breaks, hoop jam and warm-down.
MARTIAL ARTS
In this class you will learn and develop fitness, flexibility, strength, coordination, self defence and increase confidence, through a variety of exercises. These include Stances, stepping, kicking, blocking, parrying and punching techniques derived from traditional Chinese style Northern Praying Mantis Kung Fu. There will also be pad work techniques taught for speed and fitness as used in Muay Thai (Thai kickboxing) training.
POLYNESIAN
Are you ready for a hip shaking work out? Explore the Pacific Islands and learn the vibrant Hula of Hawaii or the Siva of Samoa, the rhythms of Tahiti, Cook Island, Fiji, Tonga and more, incorporated together in a session of Polynesian dancing. Polynesian Dance encompasses the essence of the Tropical Pacific Islands through sharp lower hip movement with graceful upper body motion and the drum beats of the South Pacific accompanied by the voices of Polynesia.
SAMBA AXE
The colourful dance is completely choreographed and the movements tend to mimic the lyrics to the music. It's a very energetic kind of dance that mixes elements of Samba no pé and aerobics.
